Working in a broadcasting station whose transmission can not be heard

Question

I am working as a broadcaster, but the power of transmission is very poor and nobody hear our station. Our bosses know this, but they dont take any action. So what about the "hukm" of our salaries? Is it halal or haram?

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

The decisive criteria regarding the actions of an employee is the contract between him and the party for whom he is working. Allaah Says (which means): {O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts}[Quran 5:1]. Prophet said: "Muslims have to fulfill their conditions." [Abu Daawood and At-Thirmithi]

An employee deserves his wage whenever he makes himself available and does not refuse the work for which he was hired.

The responsibility of fixing the transmission lies upon the employers and your responsibility is only to inform them about the weakness of the system. If they do not fix it then you are not blamed.

Therefore, it is your right to receive the salary from the party with whom you had made the contract as long as you did not fall short to fulfill your duty.
