Question
Asalamu Alikum W Rahmat Allah w barakuto. Why are women allowed to cut, trim and even dye their hair different colours, but they cant trim or do their eyebrows. I mean why isnt hair considered something that we shouldnt change bc Allah has created it the way it is and we must accept it justlike our eyebrows. plz clarify the difference for me. Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
First of all, you should know that Allaah is The One Who Legislates what is lawful and what is forbidden, and this is a test for us to see who would fully submit himself to Him and who would not. A believer would say: “We hear and we obey”, whereas a disbeliever would say: “We hear and we disobey.” A believer has no choice in what Allaah and His Prophet legislated. Allaah Says (what means): {It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allaah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allaah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.}[Quran 33:36].
Therefore, a believer is pleased with the Law of Allaah even if he does not know the wisdom, while believing that Allaah legislates only that which is beneficial for His Slaves.
The narration indicated why it is prohibited to pluck out the eyebrows as this is changing the creation of Allaah. The Prophet said: “…whereby they change the creation of Allaah.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] However, no prohibition or changing of the creation of Allaah is mentioned about the hair, and it is something Allaah did not address, and whatever Allaah did not address is permitted for a person to do. It is for this reason that the Mothers of The Believers trimmed or cut their hair.
In addition to this, too much hair could be very difficult for a woman in washing and combing it, in which case she may trim it to repel the harm from her [to make things easy for her], and this does not apply to the eyebrows.
