Drying the limbs after ablution

Question

when you wash your hands and wipe them do you loss your blessings i think i readed a hadith on that

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

According to the agreement of the jurists may Allaah have mercy upon them it is not forbidden to wipe the limbs after ablution and Ghusl (ritual bath). However, many of them are of the view that avoiding wiping out is desirable as it is confirmed in the Sunnah that the sins fall along with the drops of water which fall when one performs ablution or Ghusl as reported by Imaam Muslim and others may Allaah have mercy upon them. It is also confirmed that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) was given a piece of cloth to wipe out his limbs after Ghusl and he refused it, and because the water of ablution is an effect of an act of worship, so it is better to leave it.

Allaah Knows best.
