Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

If what you said about your father is true, then your father certainly committed many evildoings. You have done well by advising him, and you should continue to advise him, choosing the right way and suitable time to do so, perhaps he will repent from his evildoings. Indeed, you do him a great favor and you are dutiful to him by advising him and trying to rectify him. Meanwhile, you should note that children are in no way exempted from showing kindness and dutifulness to their parent. As such, you should not cut relations with your father, because this involves undutifulness on your part and severance of kinship ties. However, it is permissible for you to keep away from him when he is drunk.

On the other hand, if your father spends that money on alcohol or on his girlfriend, then no one is allowed to help him financially, because he will be helping him to commit sins. Allaah The Almighty says (what means): {And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.}[Quran 5:2]

In this case, you should tell your husband of the real situation if you are certain or have a strong suspicion that your father will use the money that your husband gives him to commit forbidden things such as drinking alcohol, fornicating, etc.
