All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

Cleaning Mathy (pre-ejaculatory fluid) from the body or clothes is the same whether it is wet or dry. The jurists held different views, however, regarding the method of purification in general, whether the Mathy should be washed with water or it is sufficient to sprinkle water over it for purification. The majority of scholars held that it must be washed with water just like other impurities. They interpreted the "sprinkling" (Nadhh) of water over it which is referred to in the Hadeeth as meaning "to wash".
