Wants Explanation on How Dry Impurity Is Not Transferred from One Body to Another

Question

Salam, I have read on your site that dry impurities don’t transfer. Please explain how this ruling was found because I didn’t find any Quranic verse or Hadith supporting it.I am not challenging this view but instead want sources so I can better overcome the waswasa regarding impurities.Thank you

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

The fact that impurity does not transfer from a dry body to another dry one is unanimously agreed upon among the scholars. This is clear because impurity is a palpable matter and with the dryness of the two places there is no way for it to be transferred.

Moreover, the certainty is the purity, and the jurisprudential rule upon which many pieces of evidence are based and established is that certainty is not overruled with doubt.

Hence, if we doubt about the transfer of impurity from one body to another, then the ruling is that it is not transferred acting according to the principle and based on the certainty.

You have to ignore these whispers and not give in to them, as giving in to them leads you to a great evil.

For more benefit that impurity is not transferred from a dry body to another dry body that it comes in contact with, please refer to Fataawa 301366, 81546, 350434, 370297, and 427297.

Allah knows best.
