Losing Hair Over Entire Body

Question

Assalamu-Alaikum. I have a problem that has concerned me for about 3 years now; I'm losing hair on all parts of my body. Eventhough I have been to the doctor, nothing seems to be wrong with me physically. I feel desperate to get something done about it. Is it a test from Allah? (astaghfirhu-llah). I need advise for this pain I'm in right now. Please help me.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we ask Allah to cure you from the mentioned disease. It might be an organic disease or evil eye from a jealous person, or otherwise. Therefore, we advise you to take treatment from doctors and not be satisfied with previous medical reports. Sometimes a disease could not be diagnosed. There are differences between doctors based on their experience and accuracy.

You should know that trust in Allah Alone is the best help during this disease, after recovering from it, and at all times. A person can be rid of all intrigues of bad people.

Allah Says (what means): {And whoever relies upon Allah — then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose.} [Quran 65:3]

Furthermore, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, except that Allah expiates some of his previous sins for that.” [Muslim]

Indeed, Allah afflicted the Prophet Ayoob (Jacob) may Allaah exalt his mention and he was patient and he turned toward Allah asking His Refuge and Cure, till Allah cured him.

Hence, we advise you to perform Ruqyah several times and go to righteous people who do not use magic or charlatanism. Also, you should believe that there is no disease except that Allah has sent down its cure; some people may know it whereas some others might not know it as stated in a Hadeeth reported by Ahmad and Ibn Maajah may Allaah have mercy upon them.

We also advise you to mention Allah as much as possible especially by reciting the morning and evening mention of Allah, and the mention of Allah (supplications) when eating, sleeping, and when entering and leaving the house. These supplications and mention of Allah have tremendous effect in keeping the devil away and making him and his intrigues ineffective. Also, you should recite the verses and Ahadeeth of Ruqyah, such as verse 255 from Chapter Al-Baqarah as well as the last two verses from the same Chapter, and Chapters 112, 113 and 114. You may recite them over water and then drink from that water and rub some of it on the painful part of your body.

We ask Allah to cure you.

Allah knows best.
