Doubts Ability to Satisfy A Future Wife

Question

I'm in my early 30's and I haven't married, yet. I think I have pre-mature ejaculation - which apparently means that I won't be able to provide my prospective wife with enough if any pleasure. I don't know of any cure since I haven't sought any medical advice. And I don't think it's simple to seek a physician's advice on such a thing, either. So, what do you think I should do? First, I'd love to follow the Prophet's (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) Sunnah. I'm financially capable of getting married. However, do you think I'm physically able? I don't believe I am. And I don't think it's something psychological, either.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

No doubt marriage is full of benefits, gains and advantages, apart from being a Prophetic tradition. Allah Says (what means): {And indeed We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention )), and made for them wives and offspring.} [Quran 13: 38]

This is why Allah urged people to marry. Allah Says (what means): {And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.} [Quran 24: 32]

Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar may Allaah be pleased with him narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “This world is but provisions, and there is no provision in this world better than a righteous wife.

So, we advise you, dear brother, to hasten to marry and not hesitate. In fact, what you mentioned is not enough reason to give up marrying. Sometimes, one feels some weakness and pre-mature ejaculation before getting married, and as soon as he gets married, all his worries are dispelled and everything becomes normal. Again, you may consult a doctor or a specialist in this field.

On the other hand, such information cannot be known except through experience. So, if you have experienced your difficulty through a legal marriage, then we ask Allah The Almighty to cure you and you should proceed as above. But if you have come to know your problem through illegal relations, we tell you that your treatment starts with true repentance and Allah will cure you as long as you choose His way, Allah willing.

Allah knows best.
