Question
I want to know why Arabs are sleeping. In other word, why don't they show attention to the Palestinian people, especially in this holy month? It is really a shame to talk rather than act.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Know that it is a duty for all Muslims, not only Arabs, to help Muslim brothers in Palestine and to do their best to save al-Aqsa and Palestine from Jews. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Muslims are equal concerning prohibition of shedding their blood (i.e. all are to be honored); if a Muslim gives a promise to help a non-Muslim, other Muslims are required to honor his promise; Muslim are to be as one hand against others." [ Abu Dawood and Ibn Majah from Abdullah Ibn Amr ]
Allah says: {The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, …….} [9:71]
Therefore, it is a duty for every Muslim:
1- To share with them in Jihad if possible and one is eligible.
Allah says: {And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the Cause of Allâh, and for those weak, illtreated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for us from You one who will help."} [4:75]
2- To help them with money {March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allâh. This is better for you, if you but knew.} [9:41]
{The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allâh, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allâh gives manifold increase to whom He pleases. And Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.} [2:261]
3- To wage Jihad with a good word that urges Muslims to share with their brothers. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Wage Jihad against polytheists with your wealth, bodies and tongues." [ Abu Dawood and al-Nas'I ]
4- To make supplications on their behalf, and this is the most influential weapon.
We ask Allah to grant victory to our Muslim brothers in Palestine and in all other places where Muslim are being wronged.
