Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. There are many goals behind marriage. Among them are the following: 1) Reproduction and maintaining the human race in a legal and proper way. 2) Satisfying the natural libido (sexual desire) in a legal way. 3) Making life full of intimacy and mercy between men and women, for without marriage life will be tough and unpleasant as experienced by those who practice debauchery and perversion. 4) Maintaining lineages and guaranteeing mutual support and cooperation among the same blood relatives, and securing inheritance, etc. Hence, as we all know, marriage is legalized in all nations. Allah knows best.
