I have read that the souls of the believers visit each other during their life in Al-Barzakh, and that those of higher ranks in Paradise will descend to visit their fellows in lower ranks as they will not be entitled to ascend to the others' high ranks. Ahlus-Sunnah (The Sunnis) and the Ashaa‘irah and Maatureediyyah sects.
As far as I understand, Ahlus-Sunnah are the Ashaa‘irah who are represented by the Maalikis and the Shaafi‘is, while the Maatureediyyah are represented by the Hanafis, and the Salafis are represented by the Hanbalis.
