Question
Assalamu 'alaykum Respected Shaikh, My question to you is, is there any darud called as darud e jinni? The darud is supposed to be this (as said by a local scholar here): Allahumma Salli 'ala Sayyidina wa Moulana Muhammad wa 'ala Salihil Muminil Jin. This darud, as reported by the Scholar, was recited often by the Prophet (PBUH), is that true? Reciting this darud supposedly brings the help of 'momin jinn' for you, how true is this? It will be helpful if you provide some additional details on this. JazakAllah, ma'assalama.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We are not aware of any evidence in the Sharee’ah to prove this form of exalting the mention of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to falsely attribute to the Prophet what he did not say; if one does so he is included in the threat that was confirmed in the Hadeeth. Abu Hurayrah 
narrated that the Prophet said: “Whoever deliberately tells lies about me, let him take his place in Hellfire.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] Besides, Al-Mugheerah Ibn Shu’bah narrated that the Prophet said: “Whoever narrates a Hadeeth from me which is seen as a lie, then he is one of the liars.” [Muslim]

Besides, there are many methods of exalting the mention of the Prophet that were confirmed in the authentic Sunnah; so there is no reason to resort to innovated methods of exalting his mention. For more benefit on these methods of exalting the mention of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, please refer to Fataawa 85981 and 84530.
Finally, it is not permissible to seek the help of the jinn even if this is for permissible objectives as we clarified in Fatwa 85875.
