Question
My name Is Shahanaz Akter Saimoon.here,saimoon is a boy name.I am a girl.Is it permissible to keep a boy name for a girljQuery1110023540983116975034_1576651252914??and what is the meaning of that(saimoon) name?? ?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
The name mentioned in the question is not an Arabic name, so we are not aware of its meaning.
It is apparent that it is a combination of three words, and the fact that the last of them is given to males does not necessitate changing it, in our view.
Females are prevented from being given names that are sepecific to males like ‘Abdullaah, Ahmad, Muhammad and ‘Ali, just as males are prevented from being given names that are specific to females, such as Faatimah and ‘Aa’ishah.
As for the names which are used for both males and females, then there is nothing wrong with the males or females being named with them.
