Question
How the name of "Maryam" and what is the meaning of it?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
We are not aware of the meaning of the name which you mentioned in the question and it is not an Arabic name. Nonetheless, what we do know is the name Maryam, who is the mother of 'Eesa (Jesus)
